One dead, one hurt in Vic motorbike crash

A motorcyclist is dead and another has been seriously injured after they collided on the Hume Highway in regional Victoria.

A 44-year-old Essendon man lost control of his bike at lunchtime on Saturday and was thrown to the ground, as a 44-year-old Greensborough man riding behind crashed into him.

The second rider died on the way to hospital from Tallarook, while the first rider is at the Northern Hospital with serious injuries.
