One dead after fiery Melbourne crash

One person is dead and another is in hospital after a fiery crash in Melbourne.

Police believe a Mercedes caught fire and collided with a light pole when a Mazda crashed into the back of it early on Saturday morning in Glen Waverley

The Mazda veered left, off the road and collided with two cars on display in a car dealership before coming to rest nearby.

The driver of the Mercedes, who was the sole occupant, died at the scene while the Mazda driver, who was also alone, was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
