No repeat of Vic coal mine fire: report
AAP
Officials are confident a disused Victorian coal mine won't become involved in a major bushfire like the 2014 blaze at the Hazelwood coal mine.
The Anglesea coal mine which was closed this month by Alcoa has adequate monitoring and safety measures in place, according to a report tabled in the Victorian parliament.
The Hazelwood Mine Fire Inquiry investigated the Anglesea mine as part of its ongoing inquiry into the major Hazelwood fire at Morwell.
