No decision on closing Vic Hazelwood plant
AAP
No decision has been reached on whether to close Victoria's Hazelwood coal power plant, despite reports in the French media saying it's a done deal.
Engie owns the power plant and French media reports say the board has reached a decision to close it in April, once agreement is reached with Japanese co-owner Mitsui.
But an Australian-based spokesman for Engie told AAP no decision had been reached on the future of the plant, which supplies about a quarter of the state's baseload power.
