Nine in hospital after Vic beach accidents

Nine people were taken to hospital over the weekend after separate accidents on Victoria's beaches and waterways.

At Portsea beach, a man in his 40s suffered a dislocated shoulder when he was dumped by a wave, and a teenage girl injured her head and neck when she was hit by a boogie board and then a person.

Near Geelong, a teen hit another swimmer and injured her neck and a surfer in his 50s suffered a serious leg injury.

While in Mount Martha, a man in his 30s was knocked unconscious when two jet skis crashed and in Dromana a woman in her 30s seriously slashed her leg on a boat mooring.

In other incidents, a man was found floating unconscious in the Yarra River and a boy has a serious spinal injury after diving into shallow water at Half Moon Bay.
