Nine arrested in Vic drug swoop

Nine people have been arrested in a series of drug raids northwest of Melbourne.

The arrests follow raids on properties at Sunbury and Romsey around 6.30am, in a local crackdown targeting drug manufacture and trafficking known as Operation Zurla.

Three women and six men were arrested.

Police seized methylamphetamine and its precursor chemicals, ecstasy, steroids, prescription drugs, cannabis, illegal fireworks, stolen goods and cash believed to be the proceeds of drug trafficking.
