New lion cubs ready to venture out in Vic

Gather around pride rock, Melbourne's newest lion kings are ready to rumble.

The triplet cubs born at Werribee Open Range Zoo in October have been kept under wraps but will venture out to play in front of the public for short periods from Tuesday.

They are the first cubs born at the zoo and the first offspring for new mother Nilo and father Johari.

The zoo is asking the public to nominate names for the cubs on the zoo's website.
