New jobs initiative for Vic disadvantaged
AAP
Some of the nation's largest companies are joining forces with the Victorian government to help get the state's disadvantaged into the workforce.
Family violence survivors, disengaged youth and people living with a disability will be among those to benefit from the new JobsBank scheme announced on Tuesday by Premier Daniel Andrews.
With about 100 jobs already pledged by companies including AGL, Linfox and NAB, Mr Andrews is calling for other organisations to join the initiative and help put 500 people in work.
