Mysterious ring found in Melb CBD

It's not the most epic ring quest you've ever heard of, but Victorian police want to reunite someone with their precious.

A gold ring was found in central Melbourne on December 5 and handed in to police, who are trying to reunite it with its owner.

"Officers have made numerous enquires to try and locate the owner but have so far been unsuccessful," police said in a statement.

"The ring, which is very distinctive, also has an inscription on the inside of the band."

Anyone wishing to claim it will need to solve a riddle, or at least know what the inscription says.
