Two found dead in Vic national park

Two bodies found in a car in a Victorian national park were likely to have been the result of a murder-suicide, police say.

A jogger spotted a car parked on a dirt track in the Otway Ranges near the state's south coast on Saturday morning.

Detectives found two bodies in the car, a man inside the vehicle and a woman in the boot.

Both were aged in their early 20s, but are yet to be formally identified.

Autopsies have been conducted and a report will be prepared for the Coroner.

Police are seeking any witnesses who saw a purple Honda Civic in the area.
