Motorcyclist critical after Vic collision

A rider is fighting for life after a smash in Melbourne which turned his motorbike into a fireball.

The bike and a car collided on Thursday morning at Preston, blocking roads as emergency services rushed to assist.

The motorcyclist was taken to Royal Melbourne Hospital in a critical condition suffering head injuries.
