Police share images of men after 'brutal' aggravated burglary in Victoria

Police are seeking the public's help to identify two men following an aggravated burglary on Victoria's Mornington Peninsula.

Detectives believe two offenders allegedly armed with a firearm forced their way into a home on Grange Road in Mornington around 5am on September 16, 2021.

The offenders allegedly threatened the two residents, before stealing a mobile phone and fleeing the scene.

One of the victims, a 74-year-old man, suffered minor facial injuries and was taken to hospital while the 66-year-old woman, was treated for minor injuries.

Computer-generated images of the men police would like to speak with have been released.

"We are seeking assistance from the community to help identity the two men depicted in these composite images as we believe that this will bring us closer to resolving the matter," Mornington Crime Investigation Unit Sergeant Ross Stewart said.

"It will help provide closure to our victims who have sustained significant trauma from this brutal attack.

"Whilst the incident happened nearly two and a half years ago, we have been tirelessly working on this case."

The first offender is perceived to be of Caucasian appearance with a medium build, brown eyes, wearing glasses and short brown hair.

The second offender is perceived to be of Caucasian appearance with a medium build, blue eyes and short grey hair.
