More fines possible for Vic pub demolition
AAP
The developers who illegally demolished a historic Melbourne pub could face another $388,000 in fines, this time from the Victorian Building Authority.
Under-fire developers Stefce Kutlesovski and Raman Shaqiri have promised to rebuild the 159-year-old Corkman Irish Pub they knocked down without a permit, and they have already been fined more than $20,000 for dumping asbestos.
The VBA is investigating the demolition, and corporations found guilty of carrying out building work without a permit face maximum penalties of $388,650 for each breach.
