More charges in Vic mum murder case
Two people have been charged with fresh offences relating to the murder of Victorian mum Karen Chetcuti.
Ms Chetcuti, 49, was reported missing after she did not turn up for work one morning in January 2016.
The mother-of-two from Whorouly, near Myrtleford, was last seen the night before at a local pub and her car was found burnt out in the bush.
Her body was later found in the water at Lake Buffalo and a man has been charged with her murder.
A 50-year-old man and 79-year-old woman were on Thursday charged with perverting the course of justice and incitement to commit murder.
It is understood the new charges relate to the wider murder case.
It comes after homicide detectives and SES volunteers searched an area in Myrtleford as part of the ongoing investigation.
