Mongols bikie Shane Bowden is to face court accused of stabbing two men in a Melbourne home invasion.

Police are expected to allege the 42-year-old and a 30-year-old woman entered a South Yarra property early on Tuesday morning demanding money.

Two men residing at the address were taken to hospital with wounds to their hands.

Police allegedly saw Bowden and the woman nearby about 30 minutes after the incident.

It's understood the Sergeant of Arms moved to Port Melbourne about two years ago from Queensland.

At an out of sessions hearing on Tuesday night, he was remanded in custody on several charges, including aggravated burglary with an offensive weapon, two counts of intentionally causing injury, two counts of intentionally causing serious injury and two counts of common law assault.

Bowden will face court on Wednesday.
