Molotov cocktail thrown at Melb cop shop

A person who threw a Molotov cocktail at a police station in Melbourne's southeast is being hunted by detectives.

Victoria Police say an unknown offender threw the petrol bomb into the car park of the Pakenham Police Station about 1am on Monday.

"The Molotov ignited on impact with the ground and burned for a short period of time ... no injuries or damage has been reported," a police spokesman said in a statement on Tuesday.
