Search continues for missing Melbourne man whose car was found abandoned in South Australia

The search for missing Melbourne man Dane Kowalski will focus on where his car was found in South Australia.

South Australia Police and emergency services volunteers will resume the search on Friday in difficult terrain after his car was found in remote scrub off the Sturt Highway, about 95km southwest of Coober Pedy.

The car has since been taken to the Coober Pedy Police Station to be examined.

Mr Kowalski was last seen in Melbourne on 13 December, 2014 and was believed to be travelling to Darwin.

His relatives and friends arrived in South Australia on Thursday to join search efforts.

The Find Dane Facebook page has raised a $50,000 reward for anyone with information.
