Men on the run after storming Melbourne supermarket armed with crowbars

Three masked men are on the run after they threatened a shop attendant with crowbars and demanded she hand over cash at a busy supermarket in Melbourne.

Victoria Police today released CCTV of the armed robbery in the hopes of locating the three men.

It’s believed two masked men armed with crowbars stormed the supermarket on High Street in Melton at 9.40pm on March 31 and demanded cash from the register.

The men stole three register trays containing an amount of cash after ransacking the counter.

CCTV vision shows the men placing the trays inside a large green bag before fleeing the store.

The men escaped in a dark coloured hatchback in which a third man had been waiting in outside the supermarket.

The first man is believed to be of Caucasian appearance with a medium build and a red beard.

He was seen wearing black pants, jacket and gloves and a black cap with a white label, a grey and black jumper and jeans.  

The second man was wearing black tracksuit pants with white stripes down the side, a black jacket with a grey hood, black gloves and runners.

The third man, who’s been described as being of Caucasian appearance with a medium build and a beard, was seen outside the supermarket on the night before the incident around 9.55pm

The third man was wearing a green and black cap, grey and black jacket and blue jeans.
