Vic fatal wall builder case continues

A Melbourne builder charged over a wall collapse that killed three people is expected to learn his fate in about a fortnight.

Jonathon Clyde Westmoreland, 30, was charged with carrying out building works on a site without a permit, after a section of wall fell onto Swanston Street in March 2013 and killed Alexander Jones, 19, his 18-year-old sister Bridget, and 33-year-old Frenchwoman Marie-Faith Fiawoo.

Magistrate Carolene Gwynn is hearing final arguments on Friday, but won't make a decision about whether the builder has to face trial until May 22.
