Toddler found unresponsive in Melbourne park pond dies
A two-year-old girl has died after being found unresponsive in a Melbourne park pond.
The toddler was found in the pond at a park on Maribyrnong Boulevard in Footscray about 8pm on December 28.
She was treated at the scene and the Royal Children's Hospital but died overnight.

Victoria Police will prepare a report for the coroner.

A post-mortem will be conducted to determine the cause of death.
Police are not treating the death as suspicious.
