Melbourne thieves drag ATM through streets
AAP
Bumbling ram raiders have smashed into a Melbourne shopping centre and dragged an ATM away, before dumping it intact.
Five burglars caused $10,000 damage as they drove into a Cairnlea shopping centre about 2am on Friday and when unable to lift an ATM into a ute, they dragged it away and through nearby streets.
Police followed the trail of destruction to find the dumped ATM, and say the same men are likely behind a second ram raid in Bundoora, where they also left empty handed.
