Melbourne teen crashes ute into train

Two teenagers have had a lucky escape after their car hit the side of a moving train in Melbourne's east.
A male driver and his passenger escaped with only minor injuries after their blue ute flipped onto railway tracks near a level crossing on the Hurstbridge Line in Ivanhoe on Wednesday night.
The 18-year-old driver was arrested by police and was expected to be charged with conduct endangering life.

It is believed the man lost control of his car and hit the middle of the city-bound train at Marshall St, Ivanhoe about 8.40pm.
No passengers on the train were injured.
Local residents told News Corp Australia they didn't hear a crash but were alerted to the accident by approaching sirens.
