Police are investigating after a Melbourne woman found a man stealing shopping bags from her car.
The victim was walking to her vehicle parked on Ruby Street, Essendon West, about 9.25pm on June 3.
She found an unknown man inside her car, stealing a number of shopping bags containing clothing.
He threatened the woman, before fleeing the scene towards Hoffmans Road. The woman was not harmed in the ordeal.
The thief is described as Caucasian in appearance, about 183 centimetres tall with a skinny build, pale complexion and “piercing” light eyes, detectives said.
He was wearing a red-coloured top with the sleeves pushed up at the time of the robbery.
