Melbourne motorbike rider dies in crash

A motorcyclist has died following a crash in the Melbourne suburb of St Albans.
It's believed the rider was struck by a car attempting to turn right just after 6.30pm on Tuesday.
The driver of the Mazda 323, a man aged in his 70s, stopped at the scene and is assisting police with their inquiries.

The road toll for Victoria currently stands at 85, compared with 92 for the same time last year.
