Melbourne McDonald's forced to close dining area after vaping incident

A McDonald's in Melbourne's south-west has been forced to close its dining area over multiple days after school students were caught vaping inside.

The Point Cook area was closed from 3pm and 5.30pm Monday to Friday last week, and again today, to "restrict loitering and anti-social behaviour".

"The measures were taken to protect the safety of our customers and crew, which is our top priority," a McDonald's spokesperson said.

The dining room has since been reopened but until then the story had been operating as a drive-through-only outlet.

The spokesperson said McDonald's was monitoring the situation and were working closely with police.
