Melbourne man fights off intruders

A Melbourne man has fought off three people who broke into his home.

Police say the trio entered the Malvern East property about 4am on Thursday, and fled after a brief scuffle with the homeowner.

The man was treated for minor injuries, and police believe the three intruders were also hurt in the confrontation.
