Melbourne man charged with murder

Police have charged a man with the murder of an elderly man found dead in a home in Melbourne's north.

A 42-year-old Coburg man has been charged with the murder of a 73-year-old man whose body was discovered in a home in Baxter Street, Coburg, on Saturday afternoon.

He will appear at the Melbourne Magistrates' Court later on Sunday for a bail hearing and will be further remanded to appear in court on Monday.
