Vic man dies after scooter accident
An elderly Victorian man has died after being hit by a car while using his mobility scooter in a bike lane.
The 74-year-old was struck by a turning car in the coastal town of Rye on the Mornington Peninsula on Tuesday.
He died in Melbourne's The Alfred hospital on Friday morning, police said.
Meanwhile, a Melbourne teenager has been charged over the death of a woman 10 months after she was injured in a car accident.
A Waterways woman, 19, sustained serious head injuries in the crash and died in hospital on October 15, police said on Friday.
A 19-year-old Windsor man now faces charges of culpable driving, negligently causing serious injury and other traffic offences over the New Year's Day collision at St Kilda.
