A Melbourne man has pleaded guilty to blowing up a public park barbecue.

Lazorous Michailidis pleaded guilty on Thursday to causing an explosion that was likely to cause serious injury or property damage, when he blew up the park barbecue at Craigieburn last November.

The 31-year-old of Craigieburn also admitted possessing three flares without lawful excuse, along with explosive substances and chemicals.
