Melbourne factory fire victims identified

A mother and her teenage daughter were among three squatters killed in an alleged arson attack at an abandoned factory in Melbourne.

Tanya Burmeister, 32, and her 15-year-old daughter Zoe - along with a man who is yet to be identified - were killed when Darren Patrick Clover, 52, allegedly set the Footscray factory on fire on Thursday, News Corp reports.

Police arrested Clover on Thursday and charged him with three counts each of murder and arson causing death and he was remanded on Friday to reappear for a committal mention on June 9.
