Melb man run over while walking dog

A Melbourne man is fighting for life after being struck by an out-of-control car while walking his dog late at night.

The 35-year-old is in the Alfred hospital with life-threatening injuries while his dog died at the scene of the crash, which happened in Dorset Rd at Boronia, in the city's east, about 11pm on Thursday.

The car continued through two fences and into a unit wall, leaving the 29-year-old Kilsyth woman behind the wheel with minor injuries.
