Melb councillors get vote despite conflict

Six Melbourne city councillors with a conflict of interest over campaign donations will vote on an important strategy following state government intervention.

Local Government Minister Natalie Hutchins has allowed the councillors to vote on the City of Melbourne's open space plan if they fully reveal the extent of their conflict.

She says the strategy would have stalled without government intervention.
