Melb Convention Centre's $205m expansion

Melbourne's Convention and Exhibition Centre and the South Wharf precinct will undergo a multi-million dollar expansion.

Victoria set aside $205 million in the budget to add almost 20,000 square metres of multi-purpose event space and connect the centre to a new, 331-room hotel and multi-level car park, and preliminary works have already started.

The hotel and car park will be built with up to $175 million in funding from the private sector.
