Melb car chase ends on West Gate Bridge

A dramatic police car chase that ended on the West Gate Bridge in peak hour has resulted in four people being arrested over two armed robberies in Melbourne.

A jewellery store was allegedly robbed in Lalor at 2pm, and police believe the same men were involved in a second attempted armed robbery at a tobacconist in Preston 25 minutes later.

Police pursued the men and the chase ended on the West Gate Bridge in the middle of peak-hour traffic.
