Masked thieves steal jewels in Melbourne

Three masked men have stolen jewellery and cash after smashing their way into a Melbourne shop and making threats with a gun.

The trio kicked a door down to get into the Reservoir business on Saturday afternoon and threatened a worker with a firearm while smashing open a jewellery cabinet with a wheel nut brace.

The men also gained access to a safe and stole a large amount of cash and jewellery before fleeing, police say.
