Maserati impounded after speed spree

A 25-year-old has had his Maserati impounded just two weeks after he bought it for allegedly speeding in country Victoria.

Police say the driver was caught travelling at 167 kilometres per hour in a 100 km/h zone along the Hume Highway in Violet Town on Monday afternoon.

His 2014 Maserati has been impounded for 30 days and the Sydney man will be charged on summons.
