Man to be sentenced on Vic kidnapping

A man who has admitted a kidnapping will return to prison for three weeks before he is sentenced and likely transferred to a Koori diversion centre in Victoria.

Joseph Bray appeared in the Victorian County Court on Friday to be sentenced after pleading guilty to charges including kidnapping, reckless conduct endangering serious injury and dangerous driving.

Judge Barbara Cotterell decided more information was needed before sentencing and ordered Bray be remanded in custody until arrangements could be made for treatment at Wulgunggo Ngalu Learning Place, a centre for Koori men undertaking community corrections orders.
