Two arrested following Melbourne stabbing

Two women have been arrested in Melbourne after allegedly stealing from a shop before one of them stabbed a bystander.

The women stole from a Frankston store on Saturday and then fled with staff chasing them, police allege.

A man, 57, saw the commotion and tried to stop one of the women but she pulled out a knife and he was stabbed in the arm during a struggle.

The women, both 23, were arrested in Frankston on Thursday morning.
