Man's body found in Melbourne unit

A man has been found dead in a unit in Melbourne's northern suburbs.
Police attended the Thornbury property for a welfare check about 6.20pm on Tuesday and located the deceased man, who is yet to be formally identified, inside the unit.
It is not yet known how he died, and a post mortem will be carried out on Wednesday.

Homicide Squad detectives are assisting local police with their investigations.
Police said they were not treating the death as suspicious.
