Man punched and robbed in Melbourne

A man has been punched in the head and robbed while walking to his car in central Melbourne.

The 35-year-old man was walking alongside the Yarra River, on Boathouse Drive, on Sunday night when another man struck him to the side of the head.

The man stumbled and the thief grabbed his bag and ran off.
