A man has been pulled from his burning Melbourne unit suffering facial burns after becoming trapped in the bathroom.
The 60-year-old was rescued from the Altona Meadows unit early on Saturday morning and hospitalised also suffering from smoke inhalation, the Metropolitan Fire Brigade said.
Firefighters brought the blaze under control within 30 minutes but two occupants from an adjoining unit were forced to evacuate after it came under threat.
