Man on the run after two alleged armed hold-ups at service stations Melbourne

A man is on the run after allegedly using a machete during a two service station hold-ups in Melbourne this afternoon.

The man allegedly held up a convenience store on Toorak Road at around 1.30pm.

He reportedly had a knife and stole a large amount of cash.

The man then fled down Chapel Street on foot in the direction of St Kilda, Victoria Police said.

He then is alleged to have robbed another service station on Dandenong Road in Malvern East.

The alleged attacker is described as having a dark complexion and 180cm tallwith a medium build.

He was reportedly wearing a grey hoodie and dark navy “Yankee”-branded t-shirt.

His mouth was covered with a mask during the alleged robberies.

No one was injured in the incidents.
