Police search for man who 'rubbed up against young women' in Melbourne shopping centre

Police are searching for a middle-aged man who allegedly sexually harassed young women inside a Melbourne shopping centre.

The man, aged between 40 and 50, was seen rubbing himself through his clothing while walking through Knox Shopping Centre in Wantirna South on Tuesday, Victoria police said.

He also approached young women and rubbed up against their legs and buttocks.

Police are appealing for information and described the man as Caucasian in appearance, wearing a polo top and shorts.

He was not wearing footwear at the time.
