Man lying on Vic road killed by car

Police are seeking public help after a man lying on a road in regional Victoria was run over and killed by a car.

A passer-by discovered the 23-year-old man's body on Nyah West about 4.30am on Sunday and police are now trying to figure out why he was lying on the road.

The man's movements have been tracked until 3am and it's believed he was likely to have been alcohol affected.

Police are appealing to anyone who was in the area to come forward.
