Melb freeway reopens after horror smash

Melbourne's Calder Freeway has reopened for the morning rush following a horror tanker crash that closed the road for almost 24 hours.
A 49-year-old Ascot Vale man was killed when a fuel tanker lost control and rolled onto his car in Keilor East on Tuesday morning.
Police say the fully-loaded B-double petrol tanker may have taken evasive action after being cut off by another vehicle.

The crash sparked a chain-reaction of collisions involving multiple cars and another truck.
The scene was made safe for Victoria Police to access shortly before 5.30pm on Tuesday after a 20,000 litre petrol spill slowed the investigation.
VicRoads said the freeway reopened at around 6.30am on Wednesday.
