Man found dead after Tas house fire

An 86-year-old man has been found dead inside a home that was destroyed by a fire in northern Tasmania.

Emergency services made the grisly find early on Sunday after the blaze ripped through the house in Perth, south of Launceston.

The cause of the fire isn't yet known and a report will be prepared for the coroner.
