Man films woman in toilet at Vic uni

A man suspected of using a mobile phone to video a female student on the toilet at a Melbourne university has himself been caught on film.

The 19-year-old woman, who had just come from the campus library, looked up from a bathroom cubicle and saw a phone being held over the wall, police say.

Terrified, she screamed and the phone disappeared.

The woman heard a man in the next stall apologising. However, officers investigating the March 3 incident now say they also have CCTV footage of the suspect and have released an image of him carrying a phone.

They say the man could have been waiting in the toilets for up to 20 minutes before the woman arrived.
