Man dies after boat overturns off the coast of Warrnambool

A man has died after his boat overturned off Victoria's southwest coast.

Police were called to Viaduct Road in Warrnambool on Sunday night following reports a boat had flipped.

A 69-year-old Warrnambool man was pulled from the water but he couldn't be revived.

Police are appealing for witnesses who may have seen a metal dingy and its occupant near the breakwater on Sunday.
