Man dies in Vic after caravan collision

A elderly man has died after his ute and caravan were run off the road by an overtaking semi-trailer.
The caravan clipped the truck as it tried to pass, forcing the ute off the road near Berringama in northern Victoria on Saturday, police said on Monday.
The ute and caravan careened down an embankment before being crushed by the truck.

The 73-year-old driver was sent to Albury Base Hospital for assessment before being taken to The Alfred hospital where he later died.
His seriously injured female passenger, 69, was also taken to The Alfred.
The 56-year-old male truck driver was admitted to Wodonga Hospital with minor injuries.
The fatality lifts Victoria's road toll to 62 for the year.
