Man dies in Vic after being hit by car

A man has died and a woman has been seriously injured after they were hit by a car in Victoria.

The pair were walking through the township of Seville when they were hit just after 1pm on Saturday.

The man died at the scene, while the woman was airlifted to hospital.

The road toll for Victoria currently stands at 232 for 2017, compared to 272 at the same time last year.
